Job Summary

• As a Compliance & Risk Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our organization’s commitment to regulatory compliance and upholding industry standards through the development and implementation of software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development: Work closely with the software development team to design, code, and test compliance and risk management software modules.
• Software Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and enhancing existing compliance and risk software tools, addressing any software-related compliance challenges.
• Collaboration: Engage in cross-functional collaboration with compliance officers, risk analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of compliance and risk management processes within software solutions.

Job Title: Global Expansion & Payment Partnerships Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos

The Role

• Flutterwave is looking for a Global Expansion & Payment Partnerships Manager in Lagos, Nigeria who will initiate and manage projects and work with stakeholders across the organization to enable new payment types on Flutterwave Infrastructure.
• You will also analyse data to determine optimal transaction routing strategy across service lines, including implementing add-on services that can improve the product, customer experience, or revenue, act as the frontline for partner issues and subsequent resolution, and build and maintain relationships with all relevant Flutterwave partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-scale project plans and collaborate with Stakeholders (i.e., Engineering Team, Treasury team, Product Team) to track performance and progress as well as associated communication documents using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Apply appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Develop effective strategies to remedy variances from project plans, and minimize impacts.
• Manage transitions between project stages and ensure that changes are consistent with organizational goals.
• Determine criteria and metrics and use data to evaluate partner service delivery in order to determine optimal transaction routing strategy.
• Build and manage relationships with partners beyond project implementations.

Required Competency and Skillset to be a Waver

The Role

• The Data Privacy Compliance Analyst would play a crucial role in ensuring the organization’s compliance with all applicable data privacy and protection laws and regulations in operational markets.
• The responsibilities of the Analyst will include implementing data privacy policies and procedures, assisting in the development and maintenance of the data privacy program and collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze and manage data privacy risks.

Responsibilities 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in monitoring and ensuring adherence to data privacy regulations, such as the NDPA, GDPR and other privacy regulations in operating jurisdictions.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of data privacy policies and procedures.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) to identify and evaluate data privacy risks for new projects, features and initiatives.
• Analyze and review data processing activities to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.
• Monitor response to data subject requests ( including data access, rectification, and deletion requests), by customer support teams
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure privacy considerations are integrated into system designs and projects.
• Assist in the development and delivery of privacy training and awareness programs for employees.

Required Qualifications to be a Waver

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Information Security/Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience. Relevant internships, projects or coursework related to data privacy, data protection or cybersecurity will be considered a plus.
• Ability to interpret and apply data privacy laws and regulations, including the GDPR.
• Familiarity with data privacy and data protection best practices.
• Capability to identify privacy compliance challenges and propose practical solutions.
