Job Title: Manager, Family Business, Family Office & Private Client

Location: Lagos

About the Job

  • We are currently seeking a manager with investment management knowledge who will assist with growing the Family Business, Family Office & Private Client practice of KPMG in Nigeria.
  • The ideal candidate must have expertise in advisory services and have some measure of experience with managing wealthy families, successful entrepreneurs, and ultra-high net-worth individuals (UHNWIs).

Requirements
You’re a strong candidate if you have:

  • A minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division from a recognized university
  • A master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Law, or a related field may be an added advantage
  • Proven experience (6-10 years) in Strategy & Business Advisory
  • A strong network across High Net worth and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals
  • Strong Advisory Skills an understanding of business strategy and management consulting
  • Basic understanding of family business complexities, including intergenerational challenges and emotional considerations
  • Basic understanding of the issues and challenges faced by wealthy families and UNHWIs.
  • Track record of proving strategy and business transformation solutions to family businesses will be an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively across various stakeholders and effectively communicate and interact with top level management
  • Conflict resolution and mediation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Analytical mindset and strategic thinking capabilities to develop practical solutions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Depending on the client request of the Family Business, Family Office and Private Client Manager will engage in the following tasks:
Consultation and Needs Analysis:

  • Understand the peculiarity of family businesses, applicable leading practices from regulations and leading family businesses locally and globally
  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand their objectives, concerns, and vision for the future of the business and family

Succession Planning and Leadership Development:

  • Facilitate succession planning, including identifying potential successors and establishing leadership development programs
  • Document the procedures for succession planning and provide guidance on leadership transitions for family business longevity and harmony

Conflict Resolution and Mediation:

  • Mediate and facilitate discussions to resolve conflicts and disagreements within the family business
  • Help document family governance resolution procedures establish communication protocols to address sensitive issues constructively

Education and Training:

  • Develop a robust training framework and policy for family businesses with training matrix template and procedures to develop training matrix
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for family members and key stakeholders to enhance their understanding of governance best practices.
  • Empower family members with the necessary skills to actively participate in governance processes.

Financial and Legal Compliance:

  • Collaborate with legal and financial experts to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Review existing legal agreements and structures to optimize tax efficiency and protect family assets

Job Title: Team Lead, Ethics Line

Location: Lagos

About the Job

  • The KPMG Ethics Line is an independent whistleblowing service that clients subscribe to for confidential reporting of misconduct, fraud, and other ethical concerns.
  • The facility receives and manages whistleblowing reports on behalf of clients while ensuring anonymity, confidentiality, and compliance with local regulations and global best practices.

We are seeking an Ethics Line Lead to join our team in Lagos on a permanent basis. You will:

  • Lead the delivery of whistleblowing services to clients.
  • Ensure adherence to KPMG policies, Nigerian regulations, and international standards (e.g., ISO 37002).
  • Manage ethics line operators and oversee intake, operations, and reporting processes.
  • Drive business growth.
  • Maintain service excellence and client trust.
  • Review call sheets and case memos for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly summary reports for clients.
  • Manage client onboarding and ensure alignment with internal policies and client-specific requirements.
  • Oversee administrative tasks.
  • Lead research on industry trends.

Requirements
