Job Purpose
- To support commercial team and procurement team by rolling out accurate product cost and simulation for new products, analyse product cost and purchase variance analysis for prompt corrective action and decision making in line with the organisational procedures.
Key Accountabilities
- Product cost calculation and analysis on monthly, quarterly and as required by the business to make decision
- Ensuring cost drivers are visible to all commercial team by providing detailed product cost analysis for both existing and new products to be lunched
- Evaluation and monitoring purchase price variance to prevent errors in reporting and to challenge procurement team to optimise material cost
- Supporting commercial team by providing standard cost on monthly basis to be used as a build-up for monthly financial planning
- Preparation and submission of CSL overhead budget on quarterly and annual basis in line with communicated deadline
- Balance sheet control, reconciliation and review of Material Price Variance (MPV), Landed Unit Cost (LUC), Post Goods Issue (PGI), inventory and other cost of sales (COGS) related issues
- Coordinate FG stock count across all DC and Depot. Call out reasons for stock variance to all stake holders and ensure adequate controls are put in place
- Gives clarity and response to any query or request from external and internal audit on issues that relate to COGS

Persons Specification
Knowledge / Skills/ Qualifications/ Technical/ Professional experience:
- Minimum of B.Sc./HND in relevant discipline.
- Membership of ICAN or ACCA is desirable
- Technical/Professional Experience:
- 3 -5 years minimum work experience
- FMCG, SAP product costing experience preferred
- Strong analysis and stock accounting experience required
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- Sound Knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practice

Job Purpose
- The Packaging Operator is responsible for running and maintaining packaging department equipment (labellers, conveyors, casers, stackers, coders and other related packaging equipment) safely and efficiently to realise the site and business objectives.
Dimensions
- Will have working knowledge and experience with wrapper operations; watching for jams and effective bundling wrap to prevent cost downtime due to handler error.
- Load packaging material onto machines in a timely manner to ensure no line stoppages.
- Inspect packaging, coding and seals to verify conformance to specifications and performs necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
- Observe operation of equipment and perform necessary adjustments to ensure product specifications are met.
- Ensure compliance to all Business Unit SOP’s and SOC’s (Standard Operating Conditions) and that all operations comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and provisions.
- Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed.
- Follow all required safe work practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.
- Documenting all his operations as it’s required and necessary.

Job Title: Ethics and Compliance Manager

- Embedding the Group Compliance anti-bribery and corruption programme across the business and maintaining a culture of compliance. Ensuring that, if required, we are able to demonstrate to a regulator that we have ‘adequate procedures’ in place to prevent bribery.
- Total familiarisation with the PZ Cussons Code of Ethical Conduct and related policies/guidance and provision of advice to management and staff on effective use and implementation.
- Maintaining high visibility across the business unit and assisting the business in resolving ethical dilemmas which may arise.
- Recommending, and where necessary, implementing local procedures to manage specific compliance risks.
- Provision of risk based focused awareness/training to management and staff.
- Ensuring that new and existing suppliers are aware of our compliance requirements by involvement in appropriate Africa meetings or via a focused awareness programme.
- In conjunction with Supply Chain carry out periodic compliance audits of high risk third parties.
- Owner of the Africa Bribery and Corruption risk matrix and responsible for liaising with stakeholders to ensure that this is updated and agreed mitigation actions are delivered.
- Liaising closely with the Group Head of Ethics & Compliance to maintain good communication and ensure consistency of process across the Group.
- Developing an appropriate risk-based monitoring programme to provide internal assurance to the Managing Director: Africa and Group Head of Ethics & Compliance that policies and procedures are being complied with.
- Developing trust across the organisation to encourage the raising of concerns and promoting a culture of ‘speaking up’ to enable appropriate remedial actions to be taken.

- Could take up sustainability role within 12-18 months’ timeline as additional responsibility once confidence has been demonstrated in Ethics and Compliance via reducing number of incidents / investigations. A broadened role into sustainability will offer a succession line to Corporate Affairs and Sustainability role in Africa in future.
Knowledge / Qualifications / Technical / Professional Experience
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline – A Legal degree will be advantageous
- Self-starter with 7+ years of industry or consulting experience in ethics and compliance, risk mitigation, business process consulting in a multinational company.
- Have excellent verbal and written fluency in English
- 7+ years’ relevant Legal Compliance experience in an FMGC industry is an added advantage.
- A good knowledge of anti-bribery legislation and requirements (e.g. UK Bribery Act, US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and Nigeria / Ghana / Kenyan anti-bribery legislation).
- Experience in developing and implementing compliance programmes.
- Experience of interfacing with senior management and handling sensitive/confidential issues to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Excellent interviewing and presentation skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Strong behavioural and interpersonal skills that enable compliance to be achieved without recourse to a policing culture.
